From unlocking doors in your dorm to unlocking knowledge in the libraries your ID card is your UCSC campus passport, one that can open many aspects of your student experience.
Assuming you submitted your photo on time, you’ll receive your ID card when you first arrive on campus, and it should last you for your entire time at UCSC. There is no direct charge for the card (it’s paid for by various student fees).
If your ID card IS lost or damaged, IDCS can replace your ID card (for a fee, or at no cost depending on the situation).
